What can it be filled with?
- You can fill any of our gabions with the material of your choice as long as the dimensions are greater than 80mm x 80mm; otherwise, they will fall through the mesh holes
- If you are intending to use the gabions to build a wall, you will need to use stones or similar material to ensure water can flow through, and they do not degrade

How to fill?
| HAND PACKING | |
|
– Best for a straight edge finish
Filling the gabion by hand is the most common. Make sure the stone is placed on top of each other, leaving minimal gaps and pressure against the panels

| MACHINE FILLING | |
|
– Quickest, for bigger, time consuming jobs.
You can fill a gabion using a JCB. By adding a stone separating panel to act as a barrier, it is possible to tip the stone into the back compartment. The front compartment should be hand-packed to avoid bulging.
